L**eading Victorian Government client is looking for a Security Analyst in Melbourne for an initial 6 months contract + possible extension. APPLY NOW**

The role provides threat assessment and risk identification across third party engagements and product solutioning to support department procurements and product/service rollouts. The activity will follow risk frameworks and security assessment frameworks to ensure compliance with department policies.

**Requirement**
- Proven experience conducting security threat assessments to identify risks and inform on recommended mitigation that support designs, product selection and procurement
- Working experience reviewing, advising and managing vulnerabilities to lower exposure adopting a risk-based approach to prioritise those that are most important
- Evaluate and undertake remediation to manage security risks identified by security monitoring and audit activities.
- Conduct threat assessments on designs, products, suppliers and platforms evaluating security capabilities and threats to provide concise reports on inherent risks and recommendations to lower risks to acceptable levels
- Regularly undertake compliance checks to determine whether existing security controls have deviated or remain effective over time
- Research and provide advisory on the latest security trends or alerts
