Liaise closely with the Medical Director Sunshine Coast, Medical Director Anatomical Pathology, Senior Medical Officers, Group Co-ordinating Laboratory Manager and Departmental Supervisors.
Work independently or as part of a multi-disciplinary team, to meet all deadlines in a professional and timely manner.
Key competencies (role specific criteria)
You will be assessed on your ability to demonstrate the following:

- Demonstrated working knowledge and skills in medical typing and computer programs relevant to duties.
- Demonstrated ability to work to professional standards without direct supervision and to organise and prioritise the administrative workload of a Group Co-ordinating Laboratory.
- Demonstrated high level of written and oral communication skills and a high level of interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
- A demonstrated commitment to the principles of quality management and continuous quality improvement.
- Knowledge of, or ability to acquire knowledge of, procedures policies and regulations which impact on the position, in particular the Queensland Health Code of Conduct, and a knowledge of contemporary human resource management issues such as work place health and safety, equal employment opportunity and anti-discrimination

Qualifications, registrations and other requirements
- While not mandatory, a relevant qualification would be well regarded
- Availability between Monday to Friday 0600-1800 is highly desirable
- In some circumstances and following consultation, Queensland Health staff may be required to participate in 24 hour shift or on-call arrangements.
- To be eligible for permanent appointment to Pathology Queensland applicants must provide proof of Australian citizenship or permanent residency. To be eligible for temporary appointment applicants must provide proof that they can legally work in Australia.
- Please detail any visa conditions you may have if you are not a permanent resident of Australia.

Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD) requirements
- It will be a condition of employment for this role for the employee to be, and remain, vaccinated against one or more of the following vaccine preventable diseases during their employment: Hepatitis A & B, Measles, Mumps, Pertussis, Rubella and Varicella.
- Additional vaccinations including Japanese Encephalitis and Rabies may also be required for this position.
