Right now, the company is experiencing exciting growth across the country, and we are looking for a smart and energised Apprentice Aircraft Technician to join our team.We look for enthusiastic and motivated individuals who wish to commence their career and apply technical theories and concepts to solve real-world problems, working with our world class maintenance technicians on projects that truly contribute to the defence of our nation.In return, we offer outstanding opportunities to grow, with Raytheon Australia's exclusive professional development programs, and a raft of employee benefits tailored to suit every stage of your career and lifestyle.As a Raytheon Australia Apprentice Aircraft Technician, you will be employed in the Raytheon Australia Intermediate Level Maintenance (ILM) facility, undertaking workshop maintenance activities on aeronautical product as fitted to the RAAF's F/A-18F Super Hornet and EA-18G Growler aircraft, in support of Raytheon Australia's Air Combat and Electronic Attack Sustainment Program (ACEASP), based at RAAF Base Amberley.
Key ResponsibilitiesUndertake training requirements and maintain apprenticeship progression and journal currency as directed, to successfully complete a Certificate IV in Aeroskills (Mechanical);Provide assistance and perform maintenance tasks as directed, to facilitate repair, service and overhaul of aeronautical product within the Australian Defence Force (ADF) Technical airworthiness guidelines;Ensure safe work practices are followed and observe relevant Work, Health and Safety regulations and procedures; andEnsure technical, quality and regulatory compliance is conducted and maintained to meet Defence Aviation Safety Regulations and ISO certifications.Experience, Skills and Qualifications:Must have successfully completed all theory training requirements of a Certificate IV in Aeroskills (Mechanical) delivered by a recognised training provider.A willingness to learn with genuine interest and passion for the role.Effective communication skills: Actively listens and communicates with others clearly, openly, and respectfully.Teamwork Mindset: Works with and supports others to achieve organisational goals.
Responds constructively to instructions and procedures and listens, values opinions, works effectively, and promotes a positive team environment.You must be an Australian citizen and/or eligible to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
