About The Role: We are currently seeking Multi-Skilled Carers to join our care team at a well-established facility offering beds all with ensuites. Our homely atmosphere provides comfort to residents, including those living with dementia who require specialised support. We are committed to delivering high-quality care and fostering a supportive environment for both residents and staff.
The successful candidate should have availability Monday to Sunday to work on a casual basis.
Key Responsibilities
Assist residents with personal care needs like bathing, dental hygiene, dressing, grooming, and other personal care
Support residents in maintaining or restoring their independence by assisting with activities of interest and mobility aids as needed
Complete accurate and timely documentation, reporting relevant information to Nursing, Allied Health, and Management as required
Maintain effective workplace communication, demonstrating respect, openness to change, and kindness
Assist with medication administration in accordance with facility policies
Key Requirements
Certificate III in Individual Support or Aged Care (desirable)
Experience working within an aged care setting as a carer
Ability to relate to elderly customers with empathy and collaborate effectively with health professionals, service providers, and case managers
Ability to interpret individual care plans and provide tailored care to meet individual goals
Strong communication, organisational, and time management skills
Understanding of cognitive strategies, social interaction, and meeting the mental and emotional health needs of residents
