**Your new role**
- Liaising with the clients to understand their needs
- Developing audit strategies & drafting audit plans
- Conducting external audits of entities' financial statements alone or as part of a team
- Knowledge and understanding of the client's business to assist in developing an appropriate audit approach in compliance with businesses audit procedures
- Reviewing and providing opinions on financial statements and key documentation with the client
- Verify the accuracy of the accounting records prepared by the accountant to identify, manage, and report on financial risks
- Developing and performing test plans to determine the efficiency and effectiveness of the business and its various units
- Preparing and reviewing annual financial statements and other reports as necessary for the relevant management and stakeholders
- Reporting to the Directors & stakeholders on the existence and effectiveness of the system of controls established by the management proactively
- Verifying and performing set audit procedures as requested by the clients to verify balance sheet items
- Analysing the client's financial statements and ensuring they adhere to the Financial Regulations
- Identifying & communicating risk areas to clients
- Ensuring complete and accurate documentation is maintained of audit work conducted in accordance with businesses audit procedures.

**Experience & Skills Required**
- Tertiary degree in relevant discipline
- Minimum 3 years of external audit experience
- Thorough working knowledge of accounting standards and tax, as well as a detailed understanding of the audit process and audit risk assessment
- Good computer skills with experience in XERO, MYOB & Handisoft
- Be self-motivated and able to work as part of a team
- Strong communication skills (both written & verbal)
- Punctual, well organised & enthusiastic to learn
- Have a keen attention to detail
- Have common sense
- A positive attitude and proactive approach

**Salary**: $70,000 + Super per year

- 2 days of paid leave during the exam
