Metallurgical Technician

Job DescriptionSGS is seeking a metallurgical technician to join the team in Welshpool.Responsibilities include, however, are not limited to:Undertaking sample preparation tasks as directed in JR - these will include, drying, weighing, rotary and / or riffle splitting, crushing using a range of crushing equipment items.Assist senior technicians to complete projects which require a higher level of skills and experience to those of the technician in this role.Ensure project deliverables are achieved and quality outputs are reached.Positively influence others to achieve results that are in the best interests of the Company.QualificationsThe successful candidate will have:1 – 2 years experience in the minerals processing / production / laboratory testing industries.Knowledge and experience with various commodities and unit operations.Experience with some metallurgical laboratory operations and /or testing operations.A Forklift certification.First aid training.Additional InformationWHY WORK FOR SGS?
