About the opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity to develop or even start your career in energy sector. As a large energy user, CSR is a market participant in NEM, STTM and DWGM with ambitious targets towards a carbon neutral future. CSR aims to achieve 50% of electricity generated by renewable energy and 20% energy reduction (GJ) per tonne of saleable product by 2030.
Reporting directly to the energy manager, you will be part of an agile and efficient team managing the energy supply and delivery from the wholesale gas and electricity markets to our manufacturing sites across Australia.

**Key accountabilities include**:

- To support energy management function covering procurement, administration, cost allocation and analysis of existing and potential energy costs and supply, and operational interactions related to CSR's participation in AEMO's national electricity grid and wholesale gas hubs.
- Supplier invoice reconciliation and validation to enable payment approval and facilitation of timely processing including administering payment through the Group SAP system and Accounts Payables' team is completed.
- Data analysis and modelling to feed into the annual and long term group wide energy budget with support from the Energy Manager, Business Unit operations managers, finance managers using CSR Energy system tools.
- Construct energy position and cost reports for use by Energy Manager and Finance Committee.
- Ensure that energy purchased at the Group level is accurately and equitably allocated to individual sites according to a framework. Administer the internal billing process.
- Contact point and analyst for internal billing. Liaise with business unit finance managers to facilitate transparency of actual and forecast energy costs.
- Responsive to external parties including but not limited to energy related service providers and AEMO to ensure smooth operations and compliance, including back up of back office functions and communications related to AEMO.

About You
To be successful in this role, you will be able to demonstrate:

- Resilience and rigour in performing administrative tasks
- Attention to detail and willingness to improve status quo
- Experience in and knowledge of AEMO information, retailers systems, gas markets, and electricity markets an advantage
- SAP experience and proficient Excel skills, and with a desire to extend these skills
- Database skills is an advantage
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- A service and outcome focus
