**The Opportunity**:
We are seeking an open-minded and motivated Spatial Analyst to join our dynamic national Spatial Team.
This is a new unique position (based in either Sydney or Melbourne) and will be required to support our WA and Singapore offices. You will be working against WA's time zone (AWST - currently 3 hours behind Syd/Mel) to deliver on WA and Singapore projects and stakeholders. There will be an expectation that you will work flexibly on a day-to-day basis to align with workday hours in WA/Singapore (core hours being roughly 10am-6pm)
In this role, you will collaborate with our talented professionals to deliver GIS services and provide support to our consulting staff. Your responsibilities will encompass offering GIS support to clients across Urbis' diverse array of projects, spanning from transport to planners and heritage specialists. This multifaceted position presents a valuable opportunity for recent graduates to gain invaluable work experience and exposure to leading industry specialists.
**You will**:
- Liaise with consulting staff at all levels of the business to demonstrate the value of GIS analysis in achieving client outcomes. Your input will be invaluable in illustrating how spatial insights can drive meaningful results
- Compose captivating maps of varying complexities, aligning with the corporate brand and meeting client-defined requirements
- Support Geo-processing tasks, including concatenation of simple and complex attribute and spatial queries for map display and/or data extraction
- Contribute your fresh ideas and insights to craft persuasive input for draft proposals, tenders, and submissions
- Play a key role in maintaining a seamless flow of GIS products from our team to the wider business
**About you**:
**This role is ideally suited to an individual who**:
- Demonstrates confident and responsive communication skills, both written and verbally
- Holds tertiary qualifications in Geographic Information Systems (or equivalent).
- Possesses a working knowledge of ESRI's ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Pro, A.G.O.L, and proficiency in the Microsoft desktop suite.
- Exhibits strong analytical skills to interpret research data effectively
- Displays computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and research databases
