This diverse permanent full time role will involve a balance of office-based tasks and hands-on kitchen duties working accross 5 days a weekMonday to Friday.

Your Impact:
As Kitchen Team Lead, you'll lead a dedicated team to deliver high-quality meals tailored to the needs of our residents. You'll balance hands-on kitchen work with strategic oversight, ensuring compliance, efficiency, and excellence in every dish served.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and inspire kitchen staff to deliver exceptional food service
Plan and execute seasonal, dietician-approved menus (including IDDSI texture-modified diets) that meet residents' tastes, preferences, and dietary needs
Manage food safety compliance (HACCP), audits, and accreditation standards
Oversee inventory, ordering, rostering, and budget control
Collaborate with clinical teams, residents, and families to ensure satisfaction
Maintain kitchen cleanliness and hygiene standards
Hands on role both in kitchen and office
Drive continuous improvement in kitchen operations and staff development
About You:
You will possess relevant qualifications and demonstrated skills in hospitality management, within an aged care setting. The successful candidate will have:
Possession of a Certificate IV in Kitchen Management (SIT40521) or Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery (SIT40516), or an equivalent
qualification.
Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role within
Aged Care
leading a large diverse team
Ability to lead a successful team and have a strong sense of ownership and responsibility of the team's overall performance
Demonstrated decision making, problem solving and conflict management skills.
High standard of food preparation and productivity
Strong understanding of aged care catering standards
Experience in budget management and cost control
Excellent communication, leadership, and time management skills
Compassionate, resident-focused approach
Ability to work both in the kitchen and office environments
Police Check
Pre-employment medical assessment
