Nanny 1 Day A Week, Surry Hills

**Our Family**:
- We're a warm, busy family with two beautiful young children - an energetic little boy and his sweet younger sister. They're currently in daycare four days a week, but with both of us juggling demanding careers (and limited family support here in Sydney), we're looking for a caring, reliable nanny to become part of our home. Originally from the UK, our local support network is pretty limited. That said, our children's grandfather - who lives in Tasmania - visits Sydney every couple of weeks and loves spending time with them. We're looking for a nanny who can provide full-day care, but also offer flexibility to allow him to drop in, take the kids out for a morning or afternoon, and build his bond with them while you remain a trusted and consistent presence. Of course, you'd still be paid for the full day - and when the children are out with him, it would be a huge help if you could assist with some light household chores. We live in a newly built, family-friendly home with a small pool and backyard, just a short stroll to parks, cafes, and playgrounds in Surry Hills and Redfern. There's plenty to explore nearby, and we'd love someone who brings energy, creativity, and warmth into our kids' days. If you're experienced with toddlers, flexible, nurturing, and confident creating a calm, safe, and fun environment - we'd love to hear from you.
**Your Duties**:
- We're looking for someone who is warm, reliable, and genuinely enjoys spending time with little ones. You should feel confident caring for toddlers, creating a calm and nurturing environment, and coming up with fun, age-appropriate activities to keep them engaged. You'll be someone who brings patience, good energy
**Our Perfect Caregiver**:
- Our kids are both pretty easy-going, so we're simply looking for someone kind and playful to keep them happy, safe, and having fun throughout the day. Ideally, we'd love someone for one full day a week - roughly daycare hours, from 7.30/8am to 6pm. This will likely be a long-term role, continuing until both children are in school - so around the next four years. We're also excited about finding a trusted caregiver who feels like part of the family, so there will be opportunities for occasional evening or weekend babysitting as well.
