Location: Bowen HillsEmployment Type: Permanent Full-TimeHourly Rate: $34.10 - $67.79 (commensurate with qualifications and experience)Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and process clinical specimens for diagnostic testingPerform a range of medical laboratory techniques with accuracy and careUphold quality standards in accordance with laboratory protocolsMaintain compliance with occupational health and safety policiesContribute to a collaborative and professional team environmentWhat we are looking forWe are seeking a motivated and capable Medical Laboratory Scientist to join our busy Immunology department.
The successful candidate will possess:Appropriate qualifications in Medical Laboratory Science (or equivalent)Excellent interpersonal, organisational, and communication skillsThe ability to prioritise workload, meet deadlines, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environmentA collaborative mindset and willingness to take on additional responsibilitiesProficiency in Microsoft Office is highly desirableAn understanding of ethical conduct and commitment to Sonic Healthcare's core valuesEligibility to work in Australia (please outline any VISA conditions if applicable)Previous experience in an Immunology laboratory is highly regarded; however, this role is also suitable for recent or soon-to-be graduates in Medical Laboratory Science.
