About the Role
Glen Innes High School seeks a dynamic Head Teacher Welfare to lead initiatives in student engagement, attendance, trauma-informed practices, and positive behaviour support.
The school serves approximately 460 students, including 19% Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander students, and is known for its inclusive culture and community connections.
The successful candidate will lead a Wellbeing Team comprising a Wellbeing Nurse, School Counsellor, School Support Officer, Year Advisors, and Learning and Support Team, focusing on student wellbeing and fostering a caring school environment.

Selection Criteria
General
Successful teaching experience with capacity for improvement
Knowledge of curriculum, assessment, and student welfare
Leadership skills to build team capacity
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Resource planning and management skills
Knowledge of Aboriginal education policies
Specific
Ability to lead a large Wellbeing team and implement wellbeing programs
Excellent interpersonal skills to engage community and external agencies
Proven experience in planning and evaluating school-wide wellbeing initiatives
Capacity to develop programs supporting educational attainment and student engagement
Conditions
Applicants may apply for full-time or part-time roles.
A relocation support payment of $5,000 to $8,000 is available for eligible applicants.
Full approval to teach in NSW is required; new applicants must initiate the approval process concurrently.
