**About the team**:
Coles Express has recently been acquired by Viva Energy Retail, Australia's largest single branded convenience and retail network.

Viva Energy Retail is a mobility and convenience division of Viva Energy Australia with a high-quality national network of fuel and convenience stores located in metro, regional and on main transport routes, and provides an advantaged position to serve the on-road and local suburban convenience markets.

**About the role**:
Reporting into the Head of Security & Loss Prevention, you will utilise fraud analytics systems to investigate known, suspected, or reported internal (team member), external (customer) or vendor (supplier) theft or fraud.

You'll also:

- Utilise Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV) systems to review incidents of suspected theft and fraud and capture footage of such incidents for evidentiary purposes
- Utilise crime intelligence reporting platforms to identify and investigate repeat offenders or high drive off incidents where fuel has not been paid for
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies and site teams
- Review and identify crime trends
- Address criminality within the business through analytics and subsequent investigation and action, and compile written reports for all investigations where criminality is identified
- Provide ongoing Insights and reporting to the Security & Loss Prevention and wider Operations teams
- Ensure all investigations are conducted in a professional manner in accordance with legislation, organisation standards, union guidelines and relevant codes of practice

**About you and your skills**:
You will have a strong understanding of loss prevention processes as well as competency in retail operations.

You will also have:

- Demonstrated competency in internal and external investigations, legal requirements and formal interviewing processes
- Knowledge of business systems involved in investigation of fraud, CCTV and Case Management.
- Ability to align loss prevention principles and practices with overall business strategy
- An understanding of applicable People & Culture guidelines and employee related legislation as it pertains to investigations
- Ability to effectively communicate across a variety of functional groups and levels of seniority
- Strong analytical skills coupled with the ability to write professional reports
