The hotel features 239 rooms, amenities including a heated rooftop pool, fitness centre, Beccaria Restaurant, Barista lobby bar, and 10 function rooms for up to 350 delegates.Job DescriptionWe are looking for an experienced General Manager to lead and continue driving success at Mercure Perth.
This key role calls for an experienced hospitality professional dedicated to delivering outstanding guest experiences and strong business results.
As the hotel's leader and brand ambassador, you will apply your operational expertise and commercial acumen to lead a skilled team of Heartists in a dynamic metropolitan environment.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee all operational aspects of the hotel, ensuring departments consistently achieve and exceed performance targets.Develop and execute strategic plans that drive revenue growth, operational efficiency, and elevated guest satisfaction.Champion proactive sales and marketing initiatives to maximise occupancy, revenue, and market share.Lead, motivate, and develop a team of dedicated Heartists to foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.Cultivate and manage strong relationships with hotel owners, key stakeholders, partners, and the local community to enhance the hotel's reputation and business opportunities.Strategically manage property projects, including potential upgrades or enhancements, ensuring successful execution within scope, budget, and timelines.Drive a supportive, inclusive, and engaging workplace environment to nurture employee development and retention.QualificationsA qualification in hotel management, hospitality management, commerce or business administration would be highly regarded.About YouMinimum of 5 years' senior leadership experience in hospitality, ideally within a full-service hotel environment, with demonstrable success in operations, revenue management, and team leadership.Proven ability to drive business results with strong financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, and profit optimisation.Skilled in building and managing relationships with hotel owners, stakeholders, and partners, while consistently delivering exceptional guest experiences.Demonstrated experience in strategic project management, particularly in hotel property enhancements or capital expenditure initiatives, is highly desirable.Inspirational leader with excellent communication skills, capable of fostering an engaged and motivated team.Strategic thinker with an entrepreneurial mindset and a strong commitment to Accor's values and culture.Full Australian work rights.Join us at Mercure Perth and embark on a career journey filled with opportunity, growth, and the chance to create memorable experiences every day.Additional InformationAbout the Mercure Brand – Locally Inspired | Globally Consistent | Authentic | Inviting: With a global network of over 900 hotels in 60+ countries, Mercure hotels are distinct, locally inspired, and rooted in their communities.
