**Maintenance Assistant**:
Part Time - 15 hours/week - 2-3 days

An exciting opportunity exists for a suitably experienced **Maintenance Assistant** to join the Willunga Waldorf School.

**About Us**

Willunga Waldorf School is a thriving, contemporary, independent K to 12 school nestled in the beautiful Southern Vales of South Australia, close to magnificent coastline and surrounded by vines and almond groves. It is situated on the edge of the rural town ship of Willunga, fifty minutes' drive from the city of Adelaide. **About You**

The successful applicant will be an enthusiastic and motivated all-rounder, who is equally comfortable working in a team and independently. You are conscientious, take pride in your work and confident to receive direction. You possess a genuine warmth and interest in supporting the school in providing a safe and well-presented environment for students, staff and visitors at all times.

Excellent communication and organisational skills are a must, as is a commitment to the confidentiality, safety and privacy requirements of a school environment.

Experience in the building trade will be viewed as an advantage, and some understanding of Rudolf Steiner's philosophy will be appreciated.

**About the Role**

This is a hands-on role that supports the School's Maintenance Officer with the day-to-day maintenance needs of the School facilities (including buildings, furniture and fittings).

Key selection criteria:

- Good all round maintenance / handyman skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Physically fit and able
- Excellent organizational, time management, interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience in the building trade an advantage
- Commitment to the confidentiality and privacy requirements of a school environment
- Competency in Microsoft Office suite for record keeping and communication

**Essential Qualifications/Certificates**
- Trade qualification or professional work experience in the field
- Current SA Working with Children Check
- Current SA Driver's License
- Current RRHAN-EC training certificate
- Current Provide First Aid in an Education and Care setting certificate
