**The Opportunity**
James Hardie are looking for a hands-on Freight & Distribution Manager to join our Rosehill Supply Chain team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the warehouse & freight teams and driving operational excellence in line with business objectives.

You will work cross-functionally with our manufacturing and customer service teams to manage warehouse operations, loading and distribution activities which will enhance customer delivery performance and our position in the market.

**You are an early riser, happy to work onsite each day from 6:30am and 3:00pm finish with weekend stocktakes one day per month.**

**Key Responsibilities**
- Maintain appropriate staffing levels to operate safe and efficient operations within unit cost targets.
- Identify ongoing systematic issues and address in conjunction with production, finishing, production.
- Manage stock-take and cycle count processes to ensure stock level accuracy in SAP and MS Excel.
- Plan, allocate and source daily freight requirements for deliveries, customer pickups and transfers according to required timeframes.
- Develop a continuous improvement culture in the Warehouse and Freight operations team
- Maintain close working relationships and coordination with Production, Finishing, Freight, and Inventory.
- Drive development and implementation of best practice standards in all operations.
- Implement tactics and projects within the functional area to support departmental strategies.

**About you**
- Proven experience in a warehouse and logistics leadership role
- Experience in direct supervision and management of freight and transport companies.
- Degree qualified with a major in supply chain management preferred.
- Strong work ethics with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment meeting DIFOT KPI's
- Hands on approach to developing and mentoring the warehouse and freight team to drive operational improvements through staff development
- Very strong analytical skillsets including ability to analyse and interpret data and make judgement calls accordingly
- Superior decision making and problem-solving skills
