Health & Safety Officer

**Coordinate Workplace Health & Safety and promote Wellbeing Initiatives for a business providing Primary Healthcare Services to public prisons across Victoria**:
**Salary of $110,000 + super. Based in Carlton with travel across Victoria to various GEO Healthcare sites.**:
**About the role**

The Health & Safety Officer is a key member of the People & Culture Team of GEO Healthcare and will play an integral role in the successful transition and delivery of Primary Healthcare Services to public prisons in Victoria.

Based at GEO Healthcare's Head Office in Carlton, and reporting to the Director, People & Culture, you will be responsible for the deployment of effective workplace health and safety services across GEO Healthcare, including injury management, workers compensation, occupational health and safety, and for providing information on wellbeing initiatives and events to all staff and managers across the organisation.

**Skills and Experience**:

- Tertiary Qualifications in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent.
- Experience and knowledge of OHS legislation, regulations, practices, procedures, and standards.
- Experience and knowledge of contemporary injury management and risk management practices and procedures.
- Experience in the management and implementation of Health Wellbeing programs and events.
- High level of interpersonal skills.
- Ability to develop new procedures, prepare reports and submissions, and maintain appropriate records.
- Demonstrated commitment to GEO Healthcare values.

**Desirable**:

- Knowledge of ISO Quality Management and Occupational, Health and Safety Management Systems.
- Experience in a multi-site and/or health services and/or correctional environment.

**Other Requirements of the role**:

- Valid and current full Australian driver's licence.
- Satisfactory completion of a National Criminal History Check.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
