We are looking for a highly organized and proactive Area Facilities Manager to join our Property Facility Management Team in Fullarton, on a permanent, full-time basis.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting to the Regional Manager, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of up to 150 mixed residential/retail and commercial properties which runs Adelaide Metro to Murray Bridge and down to Victor Harbour.
As Facilities Manager your responsibilities will include:
- Develop and Implement Strategic Plans and Protocols: Assist in the development of Total Asset Management Plans by extrapolating long term maintenance and improvements over 5-, 10- and 15-year increments for sustainability, improved energy & building efficiency and best use & best practice management.
- Relationship and Communications Management: Effectively communicate with internal stakeholders, contractors and the wider team to ensure work is completed in a timely manner and all stakeholders are engaged.
- Administration & Reporting: Working with our head contractor model, ensure that work is meeting Service Level Agreements. Regular site inspects will be required to ensure that planned maintenance is happening and that all TSA sites are compliant.
- Property Project Planning & Delivery: Engage in minor capital works liaising with contractors and internal stakeholders to ensure appropriate scope of works are developed and adhered to. There will also be a need to prioritise reactive works to ensure properties are kept safe and well maintained.
ABOUT YOU
The ideal person will be a proactive, collaborative team member who adopts a hands-on approach. You will be comfortable with multi-tasking and problem solving and adopt a strong client focus. You are a people person with high engagement levels and excellent stakeholder relationship building capacity to support the portfolio.
- 5 years of facilities management experience in portfolios of 150+ properties preferable.
- An engineering, building or trade qualification / background preferable.
- Experience in diverse property types, being commercial, institutional (churches) and housing.
- A strong understanding of Building Codes, Australian Standards, Essential Services, Statutory and WHS legislation.
- Experience in overseeing / project managing of minor capital works project (typically under $150k) Contractor performance management.
- A proven track record in customer and key stakeholder management.
- Proficient IT skills, including facilities management software and the Microsoft Office suite.
