**The Venue**

Novotel Sydney Brighton Beach is a premium resort-style hotel overlooking the stunning white sandy beaches of Brighton-Le-Sands and the picturesque Botany Bay. Following a comprehensive refurbishment, the hotel is set to become one of NSW's premier destinations for food, beverage, accommodation, and events.

**The Role**
As a Handyperson at the Novotel Brighton Beach, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our facilities. You will be responsible for performing various repair and maintenance tasks to uphold our high standards of quality and guest satisfaction. This position requires a proactive, versatile and detail-oriented individual with excellent problem-solving skills and a strong commitment to excellence.

**Responsibilities**
- Conduct routine maintenance checks and inspections of hotel facilities, including guest rooms, public areas, and mechanical rooms.
- Perform repairs and general maintenance tasks such as plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and general handyman duties.
- Respond promptly to guest requests for repairs and maintenance issues, ensuring timely resolution and mínimal disruption to their stay.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, inventory, and equipment maintenance schedules.
- Assist in the implementation of preventive maintenance programs to prolong the lifespan of hotel assets and prevent costly repairs.
- Collaborate with other departments to address maintenance-related concerns and support overall hotel operations.

**About You**
- Proven experience in maintenance, repair, and handyperson work, preferably in a hospitality or similar environment.
- General knowledge of mechanical systems, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry.
- Confident using a variety of tools safely and efficiently.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to identify and resolve maintenance issues efficiently.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with guests and colleagues.
- Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Great knowledge and experience following work, health and safety practices.

Pay: $25.80 - $38.70 per hour
