**The Role**

We are seeking motivated, enthusiastic and passionate people to join our teams throughout NSW, ACT and WA. Currently we have various positions across the APS 4, 5 and 6 level. The current available positions will have a strong focus on relationships and customer service.
**Overview of the Role/s**
**Base Management Officers**
Working closely with our Australian Defence Force Customers and supporting Industry partners, to ensure a wide range of services are delivered and our Defence Bases are maintained to support Defence Force capability. This will include stakeholder and customer engagement, responding to escalated issues, developing and sending base wide communications, assisting in developing Base documentation, coordinating base activities and proactively seeking opportunities to improve our customer's experience.
**Estate Management & Planning Officers**
The Defence estate is extensive and critical to Defence being able to achieve its mission for the Commonwealth Government. You will work closely with our Australian Defence Force Customers, a variety of Defence Business areas and Industry partners to provide support in the delivery of a safe and fit for purpose estate. This will include stakeholder and customer engagement, supporting the processes and requirements for upkeep, maintenance and development as well as participating in planning to inform investment priorities.
**Work Health & Safety Officers**
Zone WHS Officers play a key role in providing oversight and management of WHS hazards and risks across the Defence estate, providing WHS expertise and advice for our Base Teams. They perform safety and hazard inspections, incident reporting and investigation and safety management planning. You will engage extensively with a wide range of customers and other stakeholders, providing education and promoting improvement in the safety culture within the Security and Estate Group and wider Defence. A diverse set of locations and a variety of tasks ensures the role that is challenging and interesting.
**Zone Operations and Coordination**
The Zone Operations and Coordination team support bases and other zone teams to deliver on zone-wide customer outcomes through the provision of centralised business co-ordination, Workforce planning and capability, Learning and Development, Finance/Resources and zone Information Management and tasking.
**Purchasing Officer**
You will be responsible for processing requests via an online shopping portal to enable Defence customers to procure a range of office furniture and other equipment. The role supports the ongoing modernisation and updating of working accommodation at Defence bases throughout Australia. You will undertake moderately complex procurement, ensuring compliance with the relevant legislative framework and Defence Procurement Policy and contribute to further business improvement.

The East West Zone team assists with delivering Defence capability by providing a variety of Corporate and Service Delivery and Support functions on Defence Bases across the ACT, NSW and WA. We deliver a range of functions from resolving customer queries, project support, estate planning and integration of services.
