**The Role**
Mineral Resources is currently seeking a Group Safety Manager at our brand new HQ in Osborne Park, to assist and support our Executive and Operational Leaders in the ongoing improvement and implementation of the MinRes Health and Safety Strategy and Management framework. Reporting through to the General Manager of Safety, you will also be required to provide the Executive in the assurance and sustainability of the business through regularly auditing and measuring our performance to ensure we are meeting our own standards and legislative obligations in a timely manner. Providing oversight to the business on best practice Safety the role will deliver:
- A shared vision and commitment to an industry-leading health and safety culture at all levels of our business, developing and executing strategies to move towards a resilient health and safety culture;
- Support across the business, improving performance towards getting all our people home safely through analysis of key business indicators and the development and execution of health and safety improvement strategies; and
- Close and supportive relationships with business units ensuring best practice health and safety management is championed and prioritised.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Review, develop, implement, and monitor an effective Group Safety Strategic Plan that is aligned to the MinRes Strategic Plan and directly addresses the challenges and context of the business and the Safety function.
- Model best practice safety leadership by ensuring specialist and strategic advice, practical guidance and support is available to the executive team and operational leaders.
- Oversee and manage a programme of scheduled safety audits, across both operational sites and business Units reviewing against the requirements of legislation, company procedures, and safety management plans.
- Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of applicable regulatory requirements, including legislation, national and international standards, and codes of practice, and ensure that these are integrated into MinRes' IMS.
- Ensure all group wide health and safety reporting is completed, and improved, to ensure accurate information is at hand to allow continued management and visibility of MinRes' safety performance (INX and PowerBI).
**What you'll bring to the team**
- Minimum bachelor's degree in Workplace, Health, and Safety or equivalent
- Minimum 5+ years' experience in a similar role
- Significant and previous experience working within a Group Safety Function in the Mining, Oil and Gas, or heavy industries
- Demonstrated experience in the development, implementation and managing a Health and Safety Management systems
- Highly knowledgeable of the Western Australian regulatory requirements and administrative frameworks and experience in dealing with regulators relating to managing health and safety
