This NSW Government agency is a major service provider who strives to deliver a more consistent and efficient experience within government. This government agency uses data and behavioural insights to drive improvements with government and providing services to NSW. We are looking for someone to start ASAP for a 12 month contract paying $650 p/d + Super. This role is located in Sydney CBD / WFH

**About the Role**
We are currently seeking to appoint a Community Engagement Manager with a leading NSW Government agency.

Key accountabilities include:

- Project-manage the development and implementation of community and stakeholder engagement services to projects in accordance with the directorate's strategic plans, consultative processes and reporting requirements. In this context, the position works in partnership with project teams to establish, manage and deliver project communication and engagement plans, providing quality assurance mechanisms and reporting processes that comply with the department's policies and procedures.
- Develop, implement and evaluate best practice communication and engagement strategies to effectively engage a range of different communities and key stakeholders around asset planning.
- Account manage communication and engagement requirements for projects (up to 30), engaging, supporting and performance managing external agencies.
- Manage the implementation of a range of community and stakeholder engagement tools and techniques, such as community forums and events, workshops, briefings, surveys, community outreach activities and engagement tools.
- Implement a range of appropriate communication tools and materials to support engagement, tailored to different audiences. This could include web content, flyers, newsletters, videos, social media content and advertising activities.
- Monitor and report on the interests of community and key stakeholders, assess program and project risks and provide recommendations to senior executives on how to best manage complex and contentious issues.
- Successfully project manage a number of different communication and engagement activities so that they are delivered on time and on budget.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with community representatives, departmental staff to support the successful delivery of communication and engagement programs.

**About You**
- Tertiary qualifications in communications or a related discipline and/or equivalent experience within community engagement.
- Requires travel to outer suburban and regional locations, and work outside of core business hours in the evening and on weekends.
- Valid driver license.
- Ability to deliver on a high volume of complex projects with varying communication priorities and sensitivities.
- Support the Senior Manager, Community Engagement in responding to emerging urgent matters and dealing with complex and contentious issues, competing projects and often tight timeframes in a politically sensitive and high pressure environment.
