Sydney, New South Wales, Australia Lyka Pet Food Full time

**ABOUT LYKA**: Our capes are on to reshape an industry built around a highly processed and unnatural diet. We're here to make Australian dogs healthy and happy from the inside out through real food so they can live their best lives.

Lyka is a D2C fresh dog food company. We deliver lightly cooked, human-grade meals, as a subscription service to dogs all over Australia. All of our nourishing dog food recipes are formulated by our own in-house vet who has over a decade of experience in formulating natural diets

Our company began when our founder, Anna, went on a journey to improve her dog's, Lyka, health. Anna started creating a homemade diet for Lyka and, in just a few weeks, Lyka had more energy, less tooth decay, and a healthier coat.

Since then, Team Lyka has grown to an ambitious and like-minded set of dog-lovers with a single shared goal: to serve our customers and their puppers with the best possible food on the planet. From improving digestive issues in puppers to bringing back the youthful energy in seniors - we're getting closer to our mission every day.

**MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES**: Team Lyka is growing rapidly and looking to further accelerate growth in the next six months. We are looking for an experienced People Associate to lead and expand Lyka's people processes, including a combination of owning day-to-day activities as well as implementing industry best-practice processes. The role will cover both our digital retail (e.g. marketing, design, tech, etc.) and award (e.g. kitchen production) teams.

The role's main responsibilities are:

- Working closely with the Senior Leadership team to design the company's organisational structure, addressing this constantly as the business evolves
- Partner with leadership across the business to develop people strategy in order to meet attraction and retention targets
- Nurture a positive work environment, championing and helping disseminate Lyka's values and culture, particularly to new hires
- Embody Lyka's values and represent the company in external talent forums (e.g. LinkedIn, communities, physical recruiting events, other social network, etc.), promoting Lyka's employer brand and its value proposition to potential hires
- Manage employee experience, including running day-to-day activities as well as establishing new ideas and processes to improve the experience
- Support the leadership team in managing OKR cycles
- Manage employee relation activities
- Work with Senior Leadership to identify learning and development needs across the business. Use this to help build out career and personal development plans for digital staff.
- Work with staff across the business to understand pain points related to systems; analysing these pain points to create a strategy that is then implemented with a view of resolving these issues. This is an iterative process as the business scales
- Working across the business as a centrepoint for all questions around talent and organisational strategy
- Develop and implement a cohesive training program for team members
- Reviewing the organisational structure as we grow. This includes research into the current and future needs of the business, redefining current roles to match a future org structure and hiring new roles created by the redefined and growing org structure
- Work with different business units to benchmark salary across key roles to assure compensation packages remain competitive over time
- Build robust people processes to support our team, values and standards as we grow (e.g. employee onboarding, training, induction, exit, etc.)

**OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE**:

- 3+ years experience in human resources consulting - ideally experience in both award (e.g. retail/industrial/hospitality) and corporate settings
- Broad experience working across the entire range of People processes and activities, combined with the ability and willingness to develop an understanding of unfamiliar areas
- Experience in implementing and driving workplace culture and performance management, ideally with experience in award environments
- Experience in driving employee culture and corporate change projects
- Highly organised with strong project management ability - able to drive outcomes while juggling competing demands
- Motivated, hard-working and career-driven
- Strong verbal & written communication skills
- Resilient, high sense of ownership and comfortable with fast pace and ambiguity
- Must love dogs

**Benefits**
- Work in a fast-growing start-up - this is the opportunity to lead what goes behind the scenes to sustain high growth
- Growth and Development - Lyka is growing extremely quickly, which means you'll have the opportunity to experience different challenges every day and progressively acquire more responsibilities as our facility and team expand.
