Manager, Water Entitlement Dealings

In this critical management role, you will manage, mentor, and coach staff to ensure the necessary skills and motivation exist to respond to service delivery requirements and perform to a high level of skill and expertise.
Working in the complex environment of water management in the Queensland Murray Darling Basin, you will anticipate issues, manage risks and provide timely advice and prepare reports, briefing notes, submissions and correspondence.
You will lead a team of approximately 23 staff across 4 regional centres:
- providing advice to stakeholders, industry and community on entitlements to take water and the water management framework,
- actively managing access to water during flow events and reporting on compliance with flow conditions,
- managing water use and entitlement holder accounts within entitlement and reporting on water availability, and
You will be responsible for ensuring a safe and enjoyable working environment and promote a culture of service delivery, leadership and high performance that recognises the unique contribution of the individual, encourages personal and team development, and encourages an appropriate work/life balance.
