As we embark on this transformative journey, we're seeking a talented Publications Writer to join our project team.Join us as we enhance the future of air traffic control.As the Publications Writer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining comprehensive technical documentation that supports the successful implementation and ongoing operation of the system upgrades.
Working within our integrated project team, you'll create clear, accurate, and compliant documentation that bridges the gap between complex technical systems and their end users.Key Responsibilities:Support the development and maintenance of technical publications and ILS documentation supporting the implementation of system upgrades across multiple RAAF sitesCreate and update training materials, operational procedures, and maintenance workflows for system operators and maintainersCollaborate with technical teams to document system modifications, integration approaches, and operational proceduresSupport security certification and accreditation processes through precise documentationMaintain configuration management documentation and coordinate with stakeholders to validate technical contentSkills, Experience and Qualifications:University Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or Technical WritingDemonstrated experience in technical documentation for complex systems integration projectsStrong understanding of ILS principles and documentation requirementsExperience working within structured documentation frameworks and configuration management systemsProven ability to translate complex technical information into clear, user-friendly documentationDesirable attributes:Experience in defence technology or aerospace industriesFamiliarity with air traffic control systems or voice communication technologiesExperience with COTS integration documentationKnowledge of Commonwealth documentation standards and security requirementsSuccessful candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Baseline Security clearance as needed.
