PEER is a not-for-profit industry-based Group Training Organisation (GTO) and a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) in the construction industry. PEER employs over 400 GTO Apprentices & provides trade school training to another 600 of the highest quality private apprentices. PEER also works closely with over 75 South Australian High Schools to deliver Cert II qualifications to 500 Yr 11 and 12 VET Students.

**About the Opportunity**

We are seeking an experienced Store Person to manage our Trade Training Centre Store, this position involves a variety of daily stores, warehousing and maintenance tasks and the opportunities to make improvements by implementing an electronic inventory tracking system.

**Key responsibilities include**:

- Manage inventory levels and stock takes
- Daily coordination of inward and outward bound materials
- Material Ordering
- Build relationships with external suppliers to order materials, negotiate prices etc.
- Provide a warehouse service to internal PEER training programs to supply materials for training and internal projects as required
- Site maintenance (trade not essential)
- Provide supervision of apprentices as required
- Implement and maintain an electronic inventory system

**Qualifications and Experience**
- Demonstrated warehousing (receipt/dispatching experience)
- A current High Risk Forklift Licence (HR)
- Previous experience using a warehouse management systems an advantage
- Basic handyman skills
- Current Working with Children Check and a Clear National Police Check
- A self-motivated ability to work effectively under mínimal supervision
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to multi-task
- A strong commitment to safe work practices
- Ability to provide Covid Vaccination Certificate

**Desirable**
- Procurement management experience
- Exposure to a VET learning environment
