**Job Description**:
Responsible for cyber security management, accreditation lifecycle activities, security reporting, security verification and validation, supporting the secure and effective delivery of ICT systems to the program.
Works under general direction and independently manages the cyber security practice/s to deliver secure services to the program.

Perform the following functions as individual assignments or as part of a team:

- Oversees cyber security function for the program and related projects
- Ensures systems integration and consistency with commonwealth security standards, standardisation across all solutions and compliance with Australian Government security, privacy and secrecy requirements
- Provides leadership in the creation and maintenance of a secure ICT environment across various locations
- Leads identification, implementation and review of the full range of security measures to minimise risk to Australian Government assets and information
- Maintains secure and effective work environments
- Performs and/or supervises staff in delivering security services
- Prepares for and participates in mandated engineering reviews
- Responsible for the planning, conduct and coordination of system security accreditation / certification activities for designated work packages and projects
- Provides security solutions to a wide range of difficult problems. Solutions are imaginative,thorough, and practicable, and consistent with organization objectives
- Supervise and support security staff
- Undertake Trade Studies, research and Investigations as required
- Participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives and reports on the effectiveness of security
- services
- Work within the boundaries of company policies and procedures
- Other duties as required

**Qualifications**:
**Qualifications**:
Appropriate degree from an accredited university or equivalent experience/combined education, with professional experience and specialised training commensurate with assignment.
- Relevant Professional Memberships desirable.
- IRAP or ISACA certifications are desirable.

**Experience**
Coupled with your education and practical experience, you will demonstrate a 'can-do', pro-active, approach with the ability to understand the business, identify issues and develop relationships to achieve the company's objectives.
- Professional experience within the cyber security domain with relevant experience operating at a senior management level
- Professional Experience of the System Lifecycle using standard methodologies and techniques/tools
- Experience with the ISM and PSPF frameworks
- Demonstrated ability to consistently produce excellent results in a complex environment
- Demonstrated ability in providing direction and coordination to a team of professionals
- Extensive knowledge of cyber security procedures and protocols
