The Project
The Riverina Redevelopment Joint Venture is a 50/50 joint venture between CPB Contractors and Downer to undertake major upgrades and replacement of existing infrastructure and facilities to support Defence capability for the next 30 years.
The proposed project consists of a program of works across three Department of Defence establishments including:
Albury Wodonga Military Area (including North, South & East Bandiana, Latchford Barracks, Wirlinga)
Blamey Barracks (Kapooka)
RAAF Base Wagga
The proposed capital investment of $1.7b will incorporate a variety of elements including:
Construction of new messing and living in accommodation
Construction of new training facilities
Refurbishment and upgrading of existing buildings
Remedial works and upgrades to infrastructure services

Your opportunity
Responsibilities
We are looking for experienced Site Engineers to join the project team. You will monitor the project plan and record progress against the program, resolve engineering issues, manage the administration of subcontractors, ensure technical matters with the project are compliant and drive a zero harm safety culture on site. Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
Contribute to a safe work culture and ensure works are delivered to legislative and project standards
Review and understand construction drawings, specifications and method statements
Liaise, communicate and plan with the foreman, and Subcontractors on a daily basis to achieve target outcomes
Ensure project delivery is compliant with project standards
Ensure on site works are delivered to quality standards and complete all relevant documentation
Participate in and maintain cost management of daily activities
Ensure allocated work packages and resources are managed to ensure costs are within or below budget, and contribute to the achievement of project targets
To Be Successful In This Role You Must Have
Tertiary qualification in Engineering
Minimum 2 years experience in a similar role
Excellent subcontractor management
Good written and verbal communication skills
The ability to develop and maintain good working relationships internally and externally
