Be part of the team that's up for the challenge of transforming lives for good.About the role:John Holland, as part of a JV, has been awarded a major works contract for the delivery of Light Rail Stage 2A – City to Commonwealth Park in Canberra ACT.
The project will see three new stops built at Edinburgh Avenue, City South, and Commonwealth Avenue, extending the network by 1.7 kilometres.We are interested in hearing from Project Engineers with LV/HV Power Systems experience interested in joining the project.Key Responsibilities:Manage project activities and work scopeLiaise with Client, Subcontractors, and all project stakeholdersAssist Senior PE and act as focal point for technical advice, providing the project with best practice methodsHelp ensure project is delivered to programme, budget, and the highest safety standardsManagement of plant, labour, and materialsMonitor monthly forecastsProvide innovative problem solving and technical expertiseReport on project performance, compliance, and defects/non-conformanceUndertake safety, environment, and quality risk assessmentsPerform all duties according to John Holland policies, processes, systems, reporting, and proceduresSkills & Experience required:Tertiary qualifications in Construction / Engineering DisciplineSkills in programming, cost control, quality assurance, safety, and supervision/people managementExperience in a Rail environment and knowledge of track worksUnderstanding of project management structures, plans, standards, and implicationsAbility to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlinesStrong organizational skills and attention to detailBenefits of the role include:Joining a successful business operating across Australia and New ZealandBeing part of a high-performing team of expertsCompetitive salary, development opportunities, and employee benefitsWe are committed to diversity and inclusion, fostering a culture where everyone feels they belong.
