We are looking for a Trades Assistant to take on a variety of tasks.Work in a wide variety of areas related to workshop manufacturing, drawing on your previous knowledge and individual hand skills, while also providing you with opportunities to develop new skills.This is a full-time position.Based in Cardiff, New South Wales, Crown Technologies is an Electrical Engineering and Manufacturing firm that caters to the mining and gas extraction sectors with tailor-made products and solutions.If selected, you will become a vital part of our small team.ResponsibilitiesCabling routing and securingAssembly of steelwork, frames, and bracket installationInstallation of hardware and additional system componentsInstrument tube bending and installationDeliveries are unloaded and sorted into designated work zonesSlinging, lifting, and relocating equipment with the use of forklifts and overhead cranesAccurately tracking the arrival and departure of goodsVehicle loading and packing apparatusDomestic duties for a general workshopVarious other tasks as needed, such as arranging for deliveries and pick-ups at the siteQualificationsAbility to work independently to achieve goals and deadlinesValid Australian driver's licenseExperience with manual and power tools; familiarity with overhead cranesMechanical aptitude and mindset (enjoy assisting in building or fabricating equipment)Hard worker with strong teamwork skillsPreferred (not essential):Dogger or Dogging Performance (DG)Forklift ticket (LF) - preferredTubing or precision mechanical assembly experienceWhat we have to offerCompetitive wagesFull-timeHands-on trainingPositive team environment
