About the opportunity

At Mercy Health, each moment, no matter how small, truly matters - and as a Food Service Assistant, you'll create cherished moments each day.- Prepare, plate, and serve meals in accordance with dietary requirements and resident care plans- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of kitchen and dining areas following food safety standards- Assist with dishwashing, sanitizing utensils, and general kitchen duties- Ensure meals are served on time and at appropriate temperatures- Communicate with kitchen and care staff to meet residents' nutritional needs- Handle and store food safely following HACCP and infection control procedures- Support residents with meal choices, providing a friendly and respectful service- Follow aged care standards, including dignity, independence, and person-centred care

To thrive in this role, you will have:
- Experience working in aged care setting desirable- Be customer focused

You will also be required to provide evidence of, or in the process of obtaining:
- National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Clearance.- Appropriate Food safe certification
