Base pay range A$250,000.00/yr - A$275,000.00/yr The Opportunity Join Brisbane Catholic Education (BCE) as the new Head of Procurement and Contracting — a pivotal leadership role that will drive strategic transformation and deliver long-term impact.
This is a rare opportunity to combine professional excellence with purpose, leading an organisation-wide shift towards best practice procurement, strong governance, and values-led stewardship.
Lead the design and delivery of a centre-led procurement and contracting model that achieves compliance, efficiency, and exceptional value-for-money.
Be BCE's principal commercial advisor, providing expertise in complex procurement, vendor performance, and contract lifecycle management.
Align procurement with BCE's strategic goals, sustainability commitments, and Catholic Social Teaching values.
Build, inspire, and mentor a high-performing team with a strong commercial mindset and service excellence culture.
Drive supplier engagement and third-party contracting compliance, embedding probity, transparency, and strong governance.

About You BCE seek an Executive level procurement and contracting leader who combines commercial acumen with values-based leadership.
You will be a proven change leader with a track record of delivering results in complex or decentralised organisation.
Tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce, Law, Finance, Procurement, or a related field.
Membership with CIPS, CPP, or an equivalent recognised procurement body.
Deep expertise in strategic sourcing, category management, procurement risk, and vendor assurance.
Strong digital and systems capability with ERP/procurement platforms and analytics tools.
Proven success leading multidisciplinary teams and building organisational capability.
Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
A commitment to ethical procurement, sustainability, and social responsibility.
Experience in education, not-for-profit, government, or faith-based sectors will be highly regarded.
