**Deputy Commissioner Operational Support (Ref. No. 223618)**

This portfolio's purpose is to provide diverse services and support to the operational areas of Corrective Services and enhance delivery and decision making, build capability, and provide assurance. A strategic senior executive is required to produce an enabling function that meets the needs of all internal clients, and delivers high value to the Organisation.

From the collaborative identification of Operation's needs, to devising training, bringing policy to life, supporting implementation on the ground with leaders and teams, and ultimately compliance, the leader of this large, multi-functional team will create strategies to ensure a joined-up approach in a fast-paced environment with risk.

With a transformation agenda, success will be measured by a truly collaborative, business partner approach and focus on people (recruitment, training, professional and leadership development), emergency and incident management, and organisational capability uplift.

**You Skills and Experience**

Strong experience leading a business partnering function and developing key initiatives (including creating a PMO), to enhance organisational performance, operations, leadership, people, security and more.

Knowledge of the corrective services or related environments, where marking critical decisions at the strategic level, with risk, high-pace, and with significant scale, scope and complexity is key. Aligned experience strategically leading support to a frontline services organisation could include - corrections (public or private), police, emergency services, defence, health and more.
