**Our Family**:

- We're a warm, energetic family of three (plus one furry friend) living in Melbourne, Abbotsford. Our household includes two loving dads - one works as an ICU doctor and the other in climate tech - our delightful 1-year-old son who loves exploring the world around him, and our gentle chocolate Labrador who thinks he's a lap dog. We value laughter, outdoor adventures, and creating a nurturing environment where our little one can thrive. We're looking for cover over these periods: 15 July - 17 September: 2 days/week (ideally Wed & Thu) 18 September - 15 October: 4 days/week (Mon-Thu) 16 October - 2 November: 2 days/week (ideally Mon & Tue)

**Your Duties**:

- Looking after our 1-year-old bub throughout the day - all the usual stuff like nappy changes, feeding, naps, playtime, stories, and keeping him on his routine. We'd love you to organise fun activities (sensory play, arts & crafts, music time), take him for walks and park visits, and help him hit those developmental milestones. No cooking needed - just heating up meals we've prepped and making simple snacks. Light housekeeping to keep things tidy: cleaning up toys and play areas, bub's laundry, washing up after meals, wiping down the highchair and play surfaces, keeping his room organised, emptying the nappy bin, and general tidying of common areas. You'll also drop our choccy Lab at doggie daycare in the mornings (it's super close). We really value good communication about how his day went - the good stuff and any concerns. If you're able to help out with occasional evening care, that would be brilliant but not essential. We'll make sure you've got everything you need to make the job as easy as possible

- We're looking for someone who genuinely loves working with toddlers and brings patience, creativity, and warmth to childcare. Our ideal nanny is reliable, energetic enough to keep up with an active toddler, and comfortable with dogs. Our choccie lab is very relaxed and gentle and a core part of our family Crucially, we want someone who understands and actively cultivates a growth mindset - praising effort over outcomes, embracing mistakes as learning opportunities, and encouraging our son to try new things with phrases like 'you can't do it YET' rather than accepting limitations. We value someone who takes initiative, communicates openly, and views childcare as more than just a job. Experience with early childhood development is wonderful, as is someone who enjoys outdoor activities and creative play. Most importantly, we want someone who will become a trusted part of our son's world and help nurture his growing curiosity while fostering resilience and a love of learning.
