About the opportunity
This is an engaging position offering an opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of humanitarian entrants and other vulnerable migrants. We are looking for a caseworker who can work in a team and independently. You will also make connections with other services in the area, so you will be a friendly person that finds it easy to connect with others, and an understanding and appreciation of cultural differences.

The details
- Granville location
- SCHADS Award Level 4, pay-point negotiable based on qualifications and experience
- Part Time position, 35hr week (days to be negotiated)

About the organisation
Our client CMCS is a community organisation working across the Cumberland LGA and other parts of Western Sydney. CMCS operates in a complex environment, where we specialise in delivering services for culturally diverse communities. We work to create positive connections, building resilience and promoting positive outcomes. We are committed to delivering quality services and advocacy that results in strong, capable individuals and communities.

What you will need to succeed
- Relevant Tertiary qualification (community services or equivalent)
- Demonstrated experience in case management
- Ability to independently manage a client case load
- Ability to work with culturally diverse communities experiencing social and economic disadvantage
- Demonstrated professional practice in accordance with State legislation, relevant professional standards
- Demonstrated ability to make positive connections with diverse community leaders
- Ability to provide written and verbal consultation, advice, and support to key stakeholders, whilst confidently balancing safety and confidentiality
- Ability to develop and run consultations with diverse and vulnerable communities
- A good level of computer literacy
- A current driver's licence and regular access to a car
- Proficiency in the Arabic language (desirable)
