**Key responsibilities of the role include**:

- Effectively coordinate allocated workforce resources to ensure signalling works are completed
- Provide signalling expertise to project ensuring a best for business outcome is achieved
- Determine signalling strategies to ensure cost efficiencies and maintain signalling integrity
- Review and assess sub contractor documentation for compliance.
- Ensure currency to appropriate ARO rules and regulations, HSEQ standards and procedures, JH policies and procedures, electrical standards
- Oversee the on-site delivery of defined scopes of work on schedule with all stakeholder expectations met.
- Provide and take leadership responsibility in health, safety and environment management.
- Build strong internal and external stakeholder management through positive, proactive and professional communication to keep key personnel informed.
- Provide leadership in risk management, identify and mitigate risks prior to works commencing, communicate with and engage relevant stakeholders to control risk and build a risk management culture.
- Utilise project planning skills to plan work, monitor implementation and effectiveness.
- Review progress against plans and delivery milestones to ensure they are on schedule and within quality and cost estimates and take remedial action as required.
- Review design documentation, read drawings, provide constructive review and oversee implementation of final designs.
- Contribute to, seek and implement continuous improvement opportunities.

**To be successful in this key role, you must have**:

- Trade Qualifications or similar
- Minimum 5-10 years previous construction experience in a similar rail signalling role
- Experience in industry relevant trade and construction operations of similar scale
- People management of subcontractors, suppliers and direct labour
- Skill in review of signalling design documentation, ability to understand signalling drawings, provide constructability review and implement final design plans.
- Safety and environment management, resource management and construction program and methodology
