Southern Cross Care QLD are currently looking for You to join our team as a casual Café Attendant/Barista at our café located within Duhig Village Residential Aged Care Home in Holland Park. Duhig Village combines the luxury and life of a modern apartment with the finest in aged care and facilities.

Working in the role of a Café Attendant/Barista you will get the opportunity to look after all aspects of running an onsite café.

**What are the responsibilities?**

Duties of this role would include but not be limited to:

- Food Handling and Preparation
- Assisting customers with any enquiries and taking orders in a friendly and approachable manner and a good customer attitude
- Promoting customer care through all actions and behaviours
- Cleaning and Maintenance
- Administration tasks including operating cash register and EFTPOS, efficient processing of sales
- Refilling fridges or other stock items
- Reporting of incidents and hazards using designated procedures
- Maintaining the work environment in a safe, clean and tidy manner
- Complying with Workplace Health and Safety policies and procedures
- Participating in-any training as directed

**What you will bring to the role?**
- You will have demonstrated relevant hospitality experience
- You will demonstrate compassion, sensitivity and maturity to provide high level service to our customers
- Attention to detail and ability to work autonomously and to manage your time effectively
- Good knowledge of food safety (preferable HACCP)
- Time, task and priority management
