Community Support Worker - Kites Social Support Casual Role Apply now Job no: 497353Work type: CasualLocation: Southern SuburbsCategories: CSW KitesTHE ROLEThe Community Support Worker (CSW) Social Support assists clients whilst on day trips or short breaks in the community through the Kites Program.Please note shifts starts will either be Bibra Lake (South) or Jandabup (North)This is a Casual role (Availability between Monday - Friday 08am to 4pm)Key responsibilitiesPrepare and plan efficient travel routes; proactively anticipating traffic and time management in accordance with the service attendance sheetDriving Amana Living vehicles (10 seater or 7 seater vehicles ) and assisting with mobilising and transferring clients -moving clients from place to place whilst in the communityProvide professional, courteous, and safe transportation to clients and staff in line with the program requirementsBe alert and aware of and provide assistance with client's personal needs during transportationAssists with mobilising and transferring clients - moving clients from place to place whilst in the communityEnsure clients maintain adequate hydration and nutrition by providing assistance as neededActively engage and work collaboratively with other team members to encourage client social interaction and positive and enjoyable outingsResponds to additional client care needs and emergency situationsEnsure the cleanliness and tidiness of the bus on a daily basisEnsure that seat belts and mobility equipment such as wheelchairs, walking frames and walking sticks are securely positionedNotify Service Coordinator of scheduled service and maintenance requirements and concernsABOUT YOUProven organizational and time management skillsAbility to work independently and as a member of a teamConfidence to take initiative whilst being aware of own limitationsSensitivity and maturity to provide personal care to another person(s)Creative problem-solving skills when working independentlyEvidence of COVID-19 and Current Flu vaccinationsAbility to obtain a National Police Clearance (within 6-months validity)Successful completion of pre-employment physical and reference checksCertificate III Community Services (Aged Care Work)Why Join us?
