That's the #powerofexperience.About the RoleLaing O'Rourke are currently seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join our dynamic team in Brisbane.
The purpose of this role is to deliver an evolving central data ecosystem, playing a significant part in the delivery of a shared cloud data platform to the LOR Group, while maintaining the current demand on the existing data warehouse platforms.Key ResponsibilitiesAccountable for delivering technical functionality developed against the shared cloud data platform and existing warehouse platforms.Creating and maintain optimal data pipeline architecture.Identifying, designing, and implementing internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, redesigning infrastructure for greater scalabilityBuilding the infrastructure and data products required for optimal extraction, loading and transformation of data from a wide variety of data sources.Working with various stakeholders and teams to assist with data-related technical issues and support their data infrastructure needs.Keeping sensitive data separated and secure across national boundaries through well architected data patternsDesign, develop and implement informative visualizations that enable the business to make informed decisions.Working with data and analytics experts to strive for greater functionality, delivery and use of our data systemsAbout YouMinimum of 7 years' experience working in the data space as developerMinimum of 5 years' Senior Data Engineer/Senior BI developer/Consultant in Azure/DbxAdvanced SQL knowledge in relational databases with queries and performance tuning.Strong analytical skills, and experience performing root cause analysis on data processes to answer specific business questionsSuccessful engagement with business stakeholders for requirements, feedback and advisory.Experience supporting and working with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.Proven expertise in data engineering usingAzure Data Factory andDatabricksHands-on experience withAzure Data Factory, and Spark/Python notebooksin DatabricksBenefitsWe work hard to create an environment that brings out the best in our people.
