About the role
The purpose of this role is to provide advanced clinical care, expertise, and leadership in safety and quality improvement within mental health alcohol and other drugs, with a focus on mortality and morbidity portfolio. This role will coordinate MNMH coronial processes, including managing requests for information, autopsy reports and coronial findings.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
Fulfil the responsibilities of this role in accordance with Schedule 2, Nurses, and Midwives (Queensland Health Award) (2015) - Generic Level Statements (GLS) Nurse Grade 7 and the Queensland Health and Metro North Health's commitments and values, in achievement of the organisational goals and Domains of Practice.
Practice in accordance with code of ethics, professional standards and legislation affecting nursing practice by maintaining current knowledge and competence within scope of position.
Provide leadership within a legal, professional, and ethical framework that ensures contemporary consumer/person centred care and staff management practices.
Demonstrate advanced specialist knowledge, clinical expertise and experience in patient safety and quality, as well as in the delivery of mental health and alcohol and other drugs services. Including a sound understanding of Queensland coronial processes.
