The opportunity
The Australian e-Health Research Centre (AEHRC) is seeking an experienced and strategic NCTS Implementation and Engagement Lead to join the Health Data Semantics and Interoperability Group. This role will support national efforts to implement standard clinical terminologies—such as SNOMED CT and the Australian Medicines Terminology (AMT)—as part of the Australian Digital Health Agency's interoperability plan. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to national interoperability efforts, engage diverse stakeholders, and translate research into real-world impact within a flexible, inclusive, and career-supportive environment.
Your high-level duties will include:
Developing and deliver strategic implementation and engagement plans for the National Clinical Terminology Service (NCTS).
Providing high-quality support, education, and training to NCTS users, including proactive engagement and resolution of complex queries.
Collaborating with internal teams and the Australian Digital Health Agency to identify and address emerging implementation needs.
Analysing support trends to inform improvements in outreach, adoption, and education activities.
Creating and maintaining user-facing documentation, including training materials, guides, and reports.
Building and managing strong stakeholder relationships through regular engagement, consultation, and collaboration.
Leading outreach and education initiatives to drive adoption of SNOMED CT and AMT across the healthcare ecosystem.
Contributing to continuous improvement by identifying risks, opportunities, and user needs to enhance service quality and impact.
