**About the Role**:
The Darling Downs South West Region is looking for a motivated Head of Department (Curriculum) - State Delivered Kindergarten to support quality improvement in kindergarten in selected rural and remote State Schools across the region.
The Head of Department (Curriculum) - State Delivered Kindergarten will work with the Senior Advisor (State Delivered Kindergarten) to provide contextualised support to ensure children attending kindergarten in selected rural and remote State Schools have high quality learning experiences. The position will focus on building on the knowledge and capability of school leaders and educators in educational program and practice (Quality Area One of the National Quality Standard) to support learners in kindergarten, including those in multi-age class settings.
The successful applicant should possess an early childhood teaching qualification, demonstrate an understanding of the Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guideline and Age Appropriate Pedagogies. While the position is based in Toowoomba, service delivery is to rural and remote schools with State Delivered Kindergarten only therefore travel and overnight stays are a requirement of the position.
The position reports to the Principal of Middle Ridge State School, with support from the Director, State School Operations.
