About the opportunity

The Quality Business Partner is responsible for developing, implementing and facilitating best practice systems and processes for quality and safety within their Division. The position is required to provide support, guidance and expertise to assist the Division with the monitoring, evaluation and continual improvement of systems and processes across Mercy's four quality domains: safe care, person centred care,integrated care and effective and appropriate care.

Whilst reporting in through to the Quality, Safety and Innovation Unit, the Quality Business Partner ( QBP) will work in a collaborative and consultative manner with the Division, under the direction of the Divisional Director and Clinical Services Director
- Maintain a safe environment for patients/self/colleagues and members of the public;
- Escalate concerns regarding safety, quality and risk to an appropriate staff member;
- Lead evaluation, continuous improvement and clinical indicator processes;
- Demonstrate the principles of Person Centred Care: Respect & Dignity, Information Sharing, Participation and Collaboration;
- Provide support to health services staff in the development, implementation and evaluation of quality activities;
- Support the Program's quality and safety governance structures and processes;
- Provide timely and accurate datasets and reports as requested for governance committees;
- Provide support to the Division to understand their quality and safety dataand use of data to inform improvements;
- Assist with the coordination of the audit framework as applicable to the Division;
- Provide support and contribute to quality improvement and risk management across the Program;
- Provide support, advice, education and mentoring to staff on the tools and methods for quality improvement;
- Provide support, advice, education and mentoring to the Division regarding accreditation and the national standards; and
- Ensure that risks around compliance with accreditation are identified and that appropriate actions are being put in place.

To thrive in this role, you will have:

- 3-5 years' experience in a senior leadership role within a healthcareorganisation
- Relevant tertiary health sciences qualification, or acceptable equivalent
- Demonstrated understanding of the National Standards and experience inpreparation for survey
- Understanding and experience in quality improvement and qualitymanagement principles and practices
- Experience in leading and managing a team
- Experience in facilitating clinical risk management processes in a health care setting.
- Strong acute clinical or Allied Health experience within a a large Health Service

You will also be required to provide evidence of, or in the process of obtaining:

- A current Police Record Check and Working with Children Check.
- Current COVID-19 certificate, proof of current influenza vaccination and other vaccination status consistent with public health orders.
