Woombye Childcare and Kindergarten (WCK explorers) is seeking an educator to join our small intermit community of learners. Our boutique, family owned community space is an integral and valued member of our local community. Our setting includes a natural outdoor environment where children play amongst the trees, gardens, sand pit, outdoor kitchen and mud pit providing children with the opportunity to engage with natural loose parts. Alongside a beautiful art studio with clay wheel and authentic art materials. Our position in the main street of Woombye enables regular excursions to local parks, community garden, bush site and local primary school.

Position - Educator

Skill requirements

The applicant we are seeking must have:

- Demonstrated experience within an early childhood education setting;
- Completed a childcare qualification Cert / Diploma or Bachelor (early childhood) degree
- Certificate in First Aid (including current annual CPR certificate)
- Certificate in Asthma Awareness/ Management
- Certificate in Anaphylaxis Awareness/ Management
- Current Working with Children Check
- Administrative skills including computer Mac knowledge and time management.
- Ability to communicate effectively with families, children and the team
- A high level of self-motivation and initiative
- Have a sound understanding and knowledge, and interest in:

- Arts program
- STEM
- Nature play
- Multi-age grouping
- Principles of Reggio Emilia
- Early Years Learning Framework
- National Quality Standards,
- Pedagogy and child development.

Conditions include:
