**Cyber Security Consultant (Security Clearance, Security Architecture, Penetration Testing).**

My client is urgently seeking a Cyber Security Consultant join their highly reputable Security Consulting team. This high performing team engages in a number of projects focussing on the defence element to play a pivotal role from a hands-on technical standpoint where you will implementing point security technologies and re-configuring (hardening or remediation) existing security technologies and underlying infrastructure.

To be considered for this role you will be someone that enjoys configuring and securing technology solutions, and be comfortable working directly with clients to help them identify risks and secure their IT environments.

You will provide expertise in one or more technical areas related to Cyber security:

- Security architecture
- Secure network and infrastructure implementation & configuration
- Incident response
- Penetration testing

It is anticipated that the Cyber Security Consultant will be strongly aligned to one of these four disciplines, however there is intentionally some flexibility to crossover.

**Responsibilities**

Incident Response:

- Completing small, standalone investigations into specific assets (e.g. disk analysis)
- Supporting large, complex investigations

Security Architecture:

- Technical assessment of existing security technology to inform wider architecture decisions
- Provide advice around security technology selection and recommended configuration

Penetration Testing:

- Completing small, standalone, and well defined penetration tests
- Automating tasks using a range of common tools; accurately interpreting outputs
- Support research and lab activities

Secure Infrastructure:

- Implementation of point security technologies
- Re-configuration (hardening or remediation) of existing security technologies and underlying infrastructure

**Requirements**:
Behaviours:

- SFIA Enable: Works under general direction in a framework. Influence at account level, works on a broad range of complex activities. Good level of operational business skills.

Qualifications / Experience:

- CREST Registered qualification for fewer than 2 years; or
- Completed training in relevant SANS technical hands-on course (500 level); or
- Selection of relevant product-specific training and accreditation (e.g. Microsoft, Amazon, networking technologies, etc.)

Delivery:

- Work autonomously; written outputs require mínimal reworking following review
- Propose options to overcome challenges; seeking guidance when appropriate
- Produces technical demonstrations and code which are suitable for in-house use and proofs of concept
- Mindful of assigned budget or effort for task and actively working to complete within limits
- Able to present results of technical analyses to internal team and client technical lead

Business Development:

- Flagging potential opportunities for follow-on work
- Able to explain benefits of particular area of expertise and the AI approach
