Lawyer, Employment & Industrial Relations
Opportunity offering an autonomous role with significant responsibility within a Sydney-based Employment & Industrial Relations practice in a prestigious Australian corporate law firm.
The position is suitable for an intermediate level lawyer with experience in employment law.
Responsibilities
Litigation matters including breach of contract, breach of consumer law, general protections, underpayment claims, unfair dismissal claims and equity.
Drafting of Australian employment contracts and policies (including equity and non-equity compensation plans).
Provide advice regarding statutory entitlements, industrial instruments (including Modern Awards and Enterprise Agreements), termination of employment, redundancy, restraints, and transfer of business issues.
Advise on, and negotiate, enterprise agreements with employees and trade unions.
Collaborate with the firm's other offices from time to time.
Requirements
A solicitor with 2 to 4 years' proven experience in employment law from a recognised practice.
Ability to communicate effectively.
