We invite individuals who share our passion to join us on an exciting journey within our 1000 km2 land holding, contributing to a legacy of excellence and a path toward becoming the next mid tier gold producer.THE ROLEApplications are sought from experienced Project Exploration Geologists to join the team at Ora Banda Mining Ltd.The responsibilities of this role will include:Formulate conceptual models using mineral systems concepts, knowledge of Eastern Goldfields tectono-thermal history and gold mineralisation analoguesTest conceptual models through generating hypotheses and focused data collectionDetermine scale-relevant data for selecting appropriate prospectivity criteriaCompile and evaluate geoscientific data including surface and drilling samples, remote sensing, geophysical and geochemical dataIntegrate data to form geology maps combining regolith, stratigraphy, structure and alterationParticipate in target ranking workshops and populate the exploration pipelineCollaborate with the Senior Exploration Geologist to deliver peer-reviewed geological assessments, targeting, ranking and program proposal processesPlan and execute project work and field programs, closing out against reporting requirementsAssist with day-to-day management of drill contractors; monitor rig sampling practices and ensure diamond core, RC and RAB sampling meet company standardsEnsure timely completion of concise geological and department reporting (daily and monthly)Assist in management of department human resources during exploration and resource drilling programsAttend and chair meetings as requiredMentor geologists and technicians to ensure activities meet high technical standardsABOUT YOUTo be considered for the role, you will have the following qualifications, skills and experience:Tertiary qualifications in GeologyMinimum 3-5 years' experience in an exploration roleSkilled in GIS software, preferably QGIS, Leapfrog, with exposure to exploration geostatistical packages (ioGAS or others)Understanding of Eastern Goldfields geology and Archaean gold lode systemsDemonstrable experience in initiating and testing novel geological theoriesSolid knowledge of exploration concepts and techniquesUnderstanding of mining and exploration tenements, administration, and OHS&EConcise and efficient report writing and other geological documentationClass C WA manual driver's licenceYour motivationWe are looking for people who want to make a difference, love to challenge themselves and others to do better and pursue solutions with intent.
