Electrical Engineer

Due to recent project successes and a growing portfolio of work, PHE is seeking an Electrical Project Engineer on a 2:1 FIFO roster to assist with the delivery of packages of work associated on a project in the Northern Territory.Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the below:Be the key technical resource for the project you are involved in, by being familiar with drawings, project specifications, standards and other technical requirementsDevelop construction work packs, including the required creation, compilation and review of technical and quality documentsComplete material take offsActively participate in the development of detailed work method statements and identify and action key risks and opportunitiesDevelop and implement initiatives to improve costs on assigned work packagesIdentify and procure any contractor supplied items associated with the work packs and coordinate between purchasing, workshops and site personnelProvide technical planning input into the development of project schedules and ensure the respective milestones are met by engaging with all key stakeholdersAssist in estimating variation works and additional major scopes of workProvide input into daily, weekly and monthly reporting as well as project claimsIdentify and communicate changes during project phases to control the impact on safety and project objectivesActively participate in risk assessments and manage risks in all aspects of execution to satisfy the project requirementsRed-line drawing management/updating, development and management of MDR documentationAssist to configure, customize & manage Completion Management Software (PIMS)About YouThe ideal candidate is a qualified Electrical engineer and will possess:2+ years post-graduate experience with a demonstrated ability in project delivery of major projects, greenfields, brownfields and shutdown works in the materials handling and minerals processing environmentsSelf-starter with the ability to manage your own time effectively and deal with conflicting priorities in a busy and fast-paced environmentDemonstrated ability to pro-actively problem-solve, analyse and implement solutions; you should be a doer, not a delegatorResourceful with a positive can-do attitude and a strong work ethicA strong understanding of engineering deliverables including P&IDs, electrical layout drawings, shop detail drawings, lists, etcAbility to effectively navigate and interrogate 3D model deliverables including dwg, nwd and .
