Overview
Consultant (Engineer). Our client is a boutique consultancy and provider of specialist advisory, claims management, and dispute resolution services to the construction, built environment, and infrastructure industries.
You'll be working with top-tier clientele, including leading developers, consultancies, institutions, and respected Tier 2 builders. Each engagement typically spans 8–12 weeks, giving you exposure to a wide range of high-profile projects.
This role offers genuine growth and development opportunities within a collaborative and supportive team environment.
The Role
We are seeking an engineer with strong analytical skills and previous on-site construction experience who is looking to transition into a consulting lifestyle. In this role, you will apply your technical expertise to commercial advisory, construction claims, and be a resolution point for construction & costing disputes.
Work alongside experienced consultants, delay analysts, and quantity surveyors on the preparation of claims
Support the development of extensions of time, disruption claims, acceleration claims, and related matters
Undertake forensic reviews of project records and site inspections
Interpret drawings, specifications, construction methods, and procedures to identify claims opportunities
Draft contractual correspondence and provide contract administration and commercial advice
Collaborate with client project teams and legal professionals
Desired Skills & Attributes
We are looking for a motivated problem solver with:
An engineering degree and at least 3 years' construction industry experience (site-based experience highly valued)
Exposure to contracts and claims processes
Strong analytical, writing, and communication skills with excellent attention to detail
Competency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
