Different to other engineering firms, Egis offers true end-to-end capability across the entire design-to-operation lifecycle, offering advisory, architecture, engineering, design, asset management and operations services.We are committed to creating great teams doing innovative work and would loveyouto join us toImpact the Future.About the RoleAs a Secondary Designer working with the Transmissions team, your impact will be in the preparation of panel layouts, schematic designs, switchroom/terminal station layouts, cable/wiring schedules and related documentation related to the design of HV and EHV terminal stations and substations.Key Responsibilities:Undertaking design drafting of substations, overhead and underground sub transmission and distribution to a high technical standardReview and assess brownfield and greenfield sitesManage outcomes within budget and project programme constraints whilst maintaining high levels of technical performanceReview work as part of the peer review process from time to time as may be requiredEffectively manage the detail design from concept through to final design implementation to agreed scope, quality, time frames and budgetsIdentify and manage scope variations according to client and/or project requirementsWhat do we need from youTo be successful in this opportunity, you will ideally have a minimum of 5 years of relevant industry experience with demonstrated experience on electrical utility projects.
In addition, you will also have:Technical qualification such as a Diploma of Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)Relevant work rights to live and work full-time in AustraliaCurrent full Victorian Driver's LicenseDemonstrated experience within the Electrical Transmissions/Distribution industryUnderstanding of Electricity Distribution systems and process requirements related to design workExperience and knowledge in overhead and underground line design of sub transmission and distribution systemsProficiency with AutoCAD and MicroStationWell-developed interpersonal and communication skills to manage stakeholders at all levelsWhat's in it for you?
